1/28/22 Trail Report

Current forecast for 4-6″ of snow for Saturday. We’ll be monitoring and groomers will be out.

Current Trail conditions for the Club

  • Millers Trail from 155 through Branch Brook, Good Conditions
  • Primary 152, Good Conditions
    • Bog has been groomed heading toward Plymouth.
  • Primary 155, Good Conditions
  • Primary 156, Good Conditions
  • Primary 157 (Amanda’s Trail), Good Conditions
  • Corridor 11, (Railroad), Recommended to NOT RIDE the tracks until we get more snow. We had a snowmobiler the other night get stuck on a trestle and needed Campton-Thornton Fire Dept assistance to get out. There is still too much iron showing that could cause damage to your sled or injury.

Get out there and ENJOY! We will update trail conditions weekly moving forward.

December Update

Trail Updates:

We had some very large turnouts for the last few weeks for trail work party’s. A lot accomplished with new rubber over all the railroad trestles on Corridor 11. We had teams cutting the rubber, transporting the rubber and laying the rubber. It took a village, but out members and volunteers did not disappoint. This weekend we will be working on a bridge rebuild that was partially funded by the Bureau of Trails Grant In-Aid program. We have some snow in the forecast this weekend and are hoping for a good base with the snow that is on the way. We are itching to ride just as much as you, but we will not open the trails until we are ready to do so. Please respect our landowners and stay off the trails until we make any announcements.

TRAILS CLOSED!

November Update

Trail Work

The 2022 season is almost upon us! We still have plenty of work to complete in the coming weeks. We still have a bridge replacement, rubber left to cut to lay down and some final cleanup. Really could not have done any of this without the volunteer hours from our members to complete all the work that goes into to getting the trails prepped. A BIG THANK YOU! to the all the teams of members and volunteers that have been going out. We are continuing “Trail Work Parties” every Saturday for the next few weeks in December (Unless otherwise noted). You can meet us at 8am on Saturdays, at Dirt Designs 72 Laundromat Rd. Thornton, NH. Off of exit 29 on 93N. If you can let us know on facebook or ride@CNHSC.com if you would like to join!

Attached are some photos of what the club has been working on to get the trails prepped before the season. This month we have lots of rubber to lay on the tracks. Two of our members engineered a cutter that can be strapped to nearly any heavy machine to pull the long sheets of rubber as you’ll see in the photos.
